Several owners have fashioned covers for inside the ELF to block water from splashing from the wheels onto their legs. Normal driving in rain doesn't have this problem, but when the ELF goes through a puddle the water can splash inside.

Nate Hoy used aluminum It is also possible to build them out of old signs Here is some advice from Larry: If you are ready to try it here are a few words of advice. 1) do a dry run with cardboard or something before you start using the real signage. 2) When in doubt add several inches buffer to the size as it is really easy to trim a bit off here and there but if it is too short there isn't much you can do but start again. 3) Use zip ties and tape to hold it together. |
