For a while Organic Transit sold BMZ batteries. The picture to the left a label found on the battery pack inside of the plastic brief case that the Organic Transit batteries come in. This label shows the batteries are 13s7p or 13 series of 7 parallel cells. Based on the 15.05 Ah rating and the 7p description that means that each of the cells has a capacity of 2.15 Ah. There is also the text ICR18650-22P. The ICR refers to the chemistry of the lithium cells. The 18650 refers to the physical size of the cells. 18650 sized cells are some of the most popular lithium cells. And finally I'd guess the 22 refers to the 2.2 Ah capacity of the cells. The most recent (as of May 2018) batteries sold by Organic Transit are made by AllCell a US company. The same plastic brief case is used. These batteries are rated as 16Ah. Alternative Batteries Greg created a pdf showing a table of options: Michael Valleriano created a google spreadsheet of options Which reviews different battery options for the ELF. |
