If you know dates (even rough time frames) for when ELFs started shipping with these versions please update.

Knowing which versions have which features and what time they came out can help us taylor the rest of the information in the wiki to these different versions.

The 1.8 is the culmination of over 300 changes since the ELF was first introduced just 2 ½ years ago. The results are: quieter, stronger, safer, convenience, comfort, greater load carrying, more stability and increased efficiency & reliability.

v1.9 (Aug. 2017)

Below is the text from an Organic transit newsletter sent out on May 2, 2018.  However, there was an owner that posted about having a 1.9 version ELF arriving in Aug. 2017.  So it isn't entirely clear when the 1.9 ELFs started being shipped.

Announcing the ELF Version 1.9

After years of testing and refinement, Organic Transit has rolled out its newest version of the ELF Solo & 2FR! Version 1.9 has been electrically re-engineered to deliver better performance from the motor and motor controller!  Designed to optimize the capability of the innovative “UpDrive,” your ELF will operate more efficiently and more smoothly. It will also accelerate more quickly and travel farther with less maintenance.

Check out these other features of the new 1.9 upgrade:
  • Our largest & lightest amp hour capacity battery to date - now offered standard - the AllCell 16Ah battery. Two of these will carry your ELF from 40 to 90 miles, depending on conditions.
  • New and improved CNC-milled aluminum steering arms for improved longevity and steering response. Rugged, light, and beautiful, these are also available for upgrades on earlier ELFs.
  • A larger locking latch in the battery storage area for quick and easy release.
  • A robust motor chain guard for added motor protection against chain drops.
